p0st # 29

Well it is Sunday now and I have still not gotten a deer. I am up once more at the butt crack of dawn to try it all over again. I love deer season but this getting up at 2 or 3a.m. is for the birds. When I used to hunt in North Carolina we would just drive around until we seen some and then get out and try to circle around them. Then we would also go sit in the stands, but there were very few times that we did not see one or shut one.  I do not know if it is because there are more woods there and the deer’s are just plentiful or what. I miss being there some times. May be when and if I get this job I will buy me pieces of land there so we can take are vacations there during the hunting season. Well it is ok to dream right, I mean that is one of the reasons that I am going to school, so I can have and do more things. The world revolves around money and with money comes more freedom. At least that is the way I see it any ways. Well the old man is already now, so I will go ahead and start closing up on this post.  May be I will say a quick prayer to help me get a deer before I go, it couldn’t hurt right. Have a good day everyone and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  1. Wow! That’s pretty darn early to get up to go deer hunting haha! I’ve never been hunting and personally I don’t think I would like it. It’s always so cold when it’s that time of season and I don’t think I would have the guts to shoot a gun at an animal. ha! call me pretty animal sensitive that’s for sure. We live out in the country and every night my step mom will put out corn and there will be up to like 15 deer in our back yard! It’s really cool to watch them and see all the little baby deer with their mothers. (: Maybe when I’m older and all and if my future husband wants to hunt I’ll be okay with it ha! but as for right now I’m perfectly with just watching the deer in my backyard at night and letting them be. The people that lived in the house before us used to hunt all the time and left us with some deer meat when they moved. I’ve never tried it, but my dad says that it’s pretty good. I think I’ll be okay with not trying it ha! I love North Carolina. My dad was born there and we would go there for vacation every once in a blue moon, but I love it there. You’re right, the world does revolve pretty much around money and it takes money to be able to do things in this world. Maybe one day you’ll be able to buy a piece of land. There’s hope for everything and all you can do is keep doing what you’re doing. You never know what the future can hold!
